About Dr. Julian

Julian Pino, Psy.D. is excited for the opportunity to further his clinical experience with the Postdoctoral Fellowship at Brighter Life Therapy. As a clinician, he has worked with individuals and groups across the lifespan in the hope to help them achieve their full selves. His approach to therapy is collaborative and accepting, drawing on several clinical approaches – including humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, gestalt and trauma-informed – to meet his clients’ needs.

Julian is a recent graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s doctoral program in clinical psychology. During his training, he worked across a range of clinical settings including community mental health centers, university counseling centers and within a jail system that housed the severely mentally ill. He has experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar, substance abuse, phobias, sexual trauma, schizophrenia, OCD and a host of other issues and concerns.

Julian specializes in working with athletes and individuals in high stress environments. He especially enjoys working with collegiate athletes and those transitioning to the next phase of their athletic life whether that be retirement or turning professional. As a former collegiate athlete and son of a professional athlete he understands the trials and tribulations of college and professional athletics and the pressure to perform. Julian enjoys bringing insights and ideas from the athletic world into his work in psychology.
