About Kanika

Kanika Minocha (she/her) is a licensed mental health counselor, who identifies as an immigrant and a woman of color. Her approach to therapy lays on a foundation of trust, empowerment and unconditional acceptance of clients. She engages in human-centric, tailored and evidence-based mental health care. Kanika strives for the therapeutic space to be one where clients can discover their natural wonder and are seen and heard for who they are. She invites you to nurture your mental health and endeavors to support you along your journey.

Kanika completed a B.A. in Psychology at San Jose State University, where she also competed as a varsity golfer. She earned a M.A. and M.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling at Columbia University. Since 2013, Kanika has experience working with teenagers, adults, immigrants, people of color, college students and athletes. She also has extensive experience working in the diversity, equity and social justice field and brings an identity-informed lens to all sessions. Kanika has supported clients on a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress management, life adjustment, life changes, relationships, cultural dissonance, identity formation, and career changes.

Outside of work, Kanika enjoys boxing, cooking and treasures family time with her husband and toddler.
